Yo, it’s Luke!
I started a new job and been scheeeeemin’, so haven’t been here in a while. But now we’re so back.
That said, here is your weekly dose of 5 noteworthy ideas & things I learned about last week. Click on the brown links to dive further on that topic.
1. Experiencing Reality, and how do it more richly (Krishnamurti)
Some good ‘ole Krishnamurti to start your Friday:
“You experience it according to your conditioning as a communist, a socialist, a capitalist, or some other “ist.” Whereas, if you are none of these things and therefore do not look through the screen of any idea or belief, but actually have direct contact, then you will notice what an extraordinary relationship there is between you and what you observe. If you have no prejudice, no bias, if you are open, then everything around you becomes extraordinarily interesting, tremendously alive.”
2. Becoming an AI-Native Worker
Yes, I live in SF. So yes I am going to talk about working with AI. I think it’s electric, so much BS work I don’t have to do anymore - I want you to feel the same.
I can attribute much of that feeling to a skill I use every day… noticing.
I notice when I am doing something super manually (on a consistent basis)
Then I do it again. This time, noticing the specifics of the workflow — where I’m clicking, what info I look for, context needed, etc.
Finally, I use an AI system (Claude Code/Cowork, Northlight, ChatGPT) to replicate the same outputs. Usually describing in depth using Wispr Flow.
Afterwards, I notice where it goes wrong.
Iterate.
Then, I set it free (and set myself free too).
Highly recommend.
Read this in a piece the other day…
“leisurely research and create a curriculum for your growth long after you graduate: ‘who do I want to be at the end of the season?’”
Makes ya think - what’s my learning season rn? For me, it’s:
zen buddhism
creating spaces
building brands
salsa dancing
AI tools
4. Creating Your Own Magic (me)
A thought I had for my friend G the other day: “hey, at the end of the day, if you surrender completely to the experience - it becomes Magic. Whether you’re on an Alaskan mountain top or at a fluorescently lit grocery store.”
5. Surrender, Life, & God (me)
Wrote this mini essay at the park, you may like:
Having faith in God (or a similar higher power) makes it so much easier to move through life with full force. You don’t waste energy trying to figure everything out (+ other forms of cosmic suffering).
You can surrender completely. Loosen your grip on how things should be. And in that surrender, a space is created. A space for Truth. For Insight. For Peace.
And when you live in that space - life comes from you, not at you. Authenticity is revealed. And your view of reality clears. That is the place where you are most prolific AND energized. Where you actualize your Self and make your life’s work.
The Strength comes from Surrender.
Thanks for wanting to know more today than you did yesterday! If you liked this edition, send it over to a friend who would like it too 🤝
