Yo, it’s Luke!
Hello from the boonies of Northern Minnesota. I’m back at Camp Chippewa, volunteering for 10 days of unplugged tom-foolery and mentorship. (sorry if I’m slow to respond!)
That said, here is your weekly dose of 5 noteworthy ideas & things I learned about last week. Click on the brown links to dive further on that topic.

“It is no question that we are the amalgamation of everyone we have ever loved. It is no question that every word we write is tinged by knowledge that has been derived by others, co-opted and made our own. This is art: a live wire plugged into the current of all our central experiences.”
“Congruence is an idea base in psychology that Sasha introduced me to a few months ago. This essay of his might just be my favorite.
Basically, you want the smallest possible gap between how you’re presenting yourself to the world and how you actually are.
People usually aren’t evaluating your credentials or even your confidence level. They’re evaluating whether or not you feel real. And we are all really, really good at sensing when someone does not.”
4. Random Quote I Found
“Excellence is the accumulation of hundreds of minute decisions; it is execution at the most granular level.
Once you accept the idea that you should give in to things that make no sense because other people do those things and you want to appear reasonable, you are on a path towards mediocrity.
To achieve excellence, one must fight such compromises with every fiber of one’s being.”
“Relationships are how you’ll escape the hellfire of a thousand-person LinkedIn resume stack.
Relationships are how you earn the trust to make the sale, because even the biggest rationality bros are vibes-based decision-makers.
And relationships are how you’ll stay sane when you get rejected / laid off / burned out anyway, because none of us are immune to having shit luck.”
Thanks for wanting to know more today than you did yesterday! If you liked this edition, send it over to a friend who would like it too 🤝
